Last Call for Confirmation and Final Payment

As noted in the Player Pack, the final payment deadline is at the end of this week (April 14th).
All of the registered contacts should’ve received a reminder email in the last week, which contained the same links as the initial mails. These will allow team captains to register their teams, as well as any extra people and extra nights for everyone as required.

We need this information, and your money, so we can pass it on to the hotel and set everything in motion.
If you cannot deliver it to us in a timely fashion, for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

Note that we do not yet need exact names for all the guests at this time; that’ll be for the next deadline on the first of May.

If this message has you thinking “I don’t know if I’ve passed on this important information”, then we suggest you reach out to your captains. If you are the captain of your team, we suggest you fill out the forms and wire us the money.

Newly released models and list deadlines

As we have received this question several times now, we would like to clarify our stance on newly released models.

We will consider a model legal for use if it is fully available according to the PP Store before list lock; note that this does not include pre-order models. You may of course still make your own conversion based on our rules outlined on page 19-20 of the Player Pack, but they may not serve as stand-ins for models that are not otherwise available yet.

In the past, it has been the case that models were considered legal as soon as they were available in the app. However, since MK4, Privateer Press has preferred to make the rules available as soon as possible, so people would know what they were getting themselves into before pre-ordering.
Our ruling outlined above stems from this, as we cannot reasonably expect that all pre-orders will arrive precisely on time for (unreleased) models that would be in the app on the day of list lock.

The Player Pack will be updated soon to reflect the above.

Call for WTC Host Nations

Hello everyone,

Like most of you, the committee is very much looking forward to the World Team Championship happening in August, but we would also like to remind everyone that we also need someone to pick up the mantle next year.

What we expect from an application:

• A venue large enough to host at least 32 teams, including food, drinks and beds.
• “reasonably priced”; this is of course subjective, but aim for the ball park of this year’s costs.
• Close to, or easily reached from, a major transport hub (airport).
• A decent financial plan is a big plus; everything is always more expensive than you might expect, and we’d like the community to be able to make an informed decision.
• Some people in your community/environment to help out; this is a big undertaking and no one can do it alone.

If you think you and your country have what it takes to keep a couple of hundred people entertained (1), fed and watered (2) for a whole weekend, then reach out to us at warmahordes.wtc@gmail.com. The deadline is end of May so we have a reasonable to put it up for a vote if needed and for you to organize everything should you win the bid.
Also, if you need help or input on the above points, feel free to shoot us an email with any questions you may have.

(1) Entertainment must contain a majority of playing Warmachine.
(2) Meant as “hydrated”, other drinks besides water are allowed.

Deadline reminder

The committee would like to remind everyone that the first deadline, for registration and pre-payment, will be coming up soon, on 03/03. We are incredibly proud and happy to let you know that we are almost at capacity of registered teams! We have 27/32 registrations already, and about 70% of those have already paid their deposit.

After March 3. we will be opening up the additional spots to the third teams that are on the waiting list. Don’t wait too long with your registration, because those open spots might not last long anymore. Note that your place is only locked in after we have received your pre-payment, so make sure you don’t miss out on the greatest event of the year!

We would also like to note that we’ve made an update to the hobby and conversion rules to be more clear about our stance.
And we have been hard at work to come up with the priority system for third teams, which we will be announcing soon.

SR2024 pre-update

We are awaiting some wording fixes from PP to ensure we all know how SR2024 will function and will update the player pack accordingly.

We can already say that we follow the new rules that you can play up to 100 points instead of exactly 100 points

Early information regarding WTC 2024

Hi!

The German WTC team has put together some early information to get you all as much possibility as possible to get the hype going and get things in order. The webpage will get properly updated and more details will come out as the new Committee is put together (see the last post). Until then see the information below!

Also note that Warmachine and Marvel crisis protocol will be separate events in 2024, this page will continue for the Warmachine one and more information regarding MCP will come out separately as it moves forward.
