List Deadline postponed to September 3rd, 2017 for the Warmachine & Hordes WTC

Hello peoples,

In the light of the most recent Insider, we decided to push back list deadline to next week, Sunday, September 3rd.

Since we now have Conflict Chamber for list submission and validation, we think actual prep time will probably be very much in line with what we had in previous years.

An additional clarification regarding legality of models and theme forces: please refer to this thread on the PP forums.

The one exeption here is the Skorne theme force Imperial Warhost, that should release with the Skorne Command Book. Since it’s been in War Room since Gen Con, and since its street date should be before the WTC, it will be legal for use at the WTC.

We hope you can come up with even more evil concoctions now,

Ever faithfully yours,

-The WTC Committee.

  1. Dave says:

I’m still a little confused; because the Irregulars theme is listed as pre-release, that means we’ll be able to use it in time for the WTC?

    • EDIT: lists have to be legal at list deadline. See comment below for more information.

      • Dave says:

In the case that a list is submitted using the theme, and it doesn’t become legal in time for the WTC, does that disqualify me as a player with an illegal list, or can the lists be reverted a non-theme list (seeing the difference in lists from theme benefits will be the free-solos, so would only require them to be excluded to make the lists legal)?

  2. We see how our above reply can be interpreted in ways we didn’t intend.

You can only submit a list that is legal at the time of list deadline, so no pre-release theme forces. Should, however, a list happen to fulfill the requirements of a theme force, and said theme force is released before the WTC, you can claim its bonuses, so far as they don’t change your list.

So free models no, extra deployment zone/bonus terrain/starting roll modifiers/upkeeps in play/ yes.
