First notice of WTC 2014 country applications.

The Committee met last night and went through some planning for 2014.  Details will be forthcoming once the new Committee members are installed and the final decisions are made.  Watch the WTC website and social media outlets for news as it is released.  Please hold your questions until then.

What we can say at the moment is that team registration will begin in 4-6 weeks time, and will adhere to the same general phased timing milestones as last year. Existing Team Captains will have a short period to pre-register their teams, after which normal registration will open.  Consequently, both existing and aspiring Team Captains should begin to solidify their desire to attend the 2014 WTC now.

The Committee decided on one significant departure from the process that it wants to communicate now.  We will accept applications from a joint country team from the same region if it is unlikely that any of the countries could send a team on their own.  For example, if 2 Chinese, 2 Japanese, and 1 Singaporean wanted to form a Far East team, this would be considered.  African and South American teams are other examples.  Please note that the acceptability of the entry is entirely at the WTC Committee’s discretion.  Interested players should contact the general WTC address:

Thank you everyone for all the enthusiastic interest in the 2014 WTC already.
